Provides various support services to families in the Columbia Valley.
The following programs are offered:
- Life Skills for Youth with Diverse Abilities: Provides resources and parenting support to parents who have children with special needs and have diverse abilities.
- Columbia Valley Youth Network: Offers programs and activities to youth 12-18 years within the entire Columbia Valley.
- Family Support: Offers support to families to build on their strengths and develop positive relationship with the family and community.
- Family, Relationship, and Individual Counselling: Provides counselling services for issues including parenting, relationships, conflict resolution, anger management, social and communication skills, divorce and separation issues, grief, life skills development, stress management.
- Community Counselling Services: Provides fee-for-service counselling to individuals and couples who do not fall within the mandate of other FDx programs.
- Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP): Provides affordable rental housing to moderate, and low-income families and individuals in need
- Affordable Rental Housing: Provides affordable rental housing to moderate, and low-income families and individuals in need.
- Lending Libraries: Lending books, journals, magazines, providing relevant information on family development, personal growth, parenting, abuse, assault, addictions, and legal issues.
This program serves the Columbia Valley area, including the communities of Spillimacheen, Brisco, Edgewater, Radium Hot Springs, Shuswap, Wilmer, Panorama, Invermere, Windermere, and Canal Flats.
